Moldovan Health Ministry says 38 babies born on first day of 2026
Thirty eight children on the first day of the 2026 year were born in perinatal centers of Moldova, of whom 19 boys and 19 girls. The births were single and occurred without complications.
According to the Health Ministry, most births took place at the Mother and Child Institute of Chisinau – seven children, followed by the Balti Clinical Hospital – six children and the Gheorghe Paladi Municipal Clinical Hospital – five children. Other births were recorded in district and municipal hospitals, while seven children were born in four private perinatal centers from Chisinau.
The Health Ministry conveyed congratulations to the families and thanks to the medical staff who provided the necessary assistance to the mothers and newborns.
