Over 190 people come to emergency because glazed frost in Moldova
Over 190 people have required medical attention in the last two days after falling and suffering fractures or injuries because of icy conditions.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the spokesperson for the Institute of Emergency Medicine, Dorina Arsene, said that, in recent days, 191 attendances had been recorded at the Emergency Reception Department. Of these cases, 25 per cent of the individuals were hospitalized.
"Patients come with various fractures, including dislocations, fractures, or sprains. Those who do not require hospitalization are assessed and discharged with necessary recommendations," said Arsene.
Doctors recommend the public not stay outside for a long time, especially those suffering from various diseases, to wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and in any risky situation, call the emergency number 112.
