Central Electoral Commission says Moldova has over 3.29 million citizens eligible to vote

The total number of voters registered in the State Register of Voters (RSA) of Moldova reached 3,299,794 at the beginning of 2026.

According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), out of the total number of citizens registered in the registry, 2,763,719 eligible voters are distributed across the second-level administrative-territorial units.

The rest of the voters include 258,440 people with Moldovan citizenship, but without registration at a domicile or residence, including those who have legally emigrated, and 277,635 voters from the left bank of the Dniester.

The largest electoral district stays the municipality of Chisinau, with 666,923 voters, followed by the Gagauzia Autonomous Territorial Unit – 129,314 and the municipality of Balti – 99,097 voters. Among the smallest districts, there are the Rezina district – 36,621 and the Soldanesti district – 30,818 voters.
