The National Costume and Bread Festival was organized today in the village of Mîndîc, Drochia district, the home village of Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The official attended the event, saying he happily returned home, to his native village, to celebrate the traditions and honest work of our people.
Dorin Recean said he discussed with people present at the event about the things that unite us and about how important peace is for us and our children.
“I returned home, to my native village, Mîndîc, for the festival to celebrate the traditions and honest work done by our talented people. I reunited with dear people and talked about the things that unite us – especially about how important peace is for us and our children,” said Recean.
The Prime Minister added that the Republic of Moldova is set to implement many important projects, and for that, it is necessary to remain united and “to go in the right direction - towards the EU, peace and development.”
“There is still much to be done, but we are moving in the right direction - towards the EU, peace and development. All we need to do is to stay united,” concluded Recean.
The National Costume and Bread Festival has already become a tradition for the village of Mîndîc, being at its seventh edition. The event is dedicated to our traditional values - the national costume and bread as symbols of abundance and hospitality. The program of the event includes exhibitions of bread and homemade products, folk performances with local artists and guests, activities for children and youth, and a fair with traditional items.
