PHOTO // International Day of Persons with Disabilities: Moldovan parliament hosts exhibitions by pupils conveying messages of empathy, diversity

The parliament hosts more exhibitions by children conveying messages of empathy and diversity. They are organized in the context of marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Thus, during December 1-5, the parliament hosts an exhibition of paintings created by pupils from the Auxiliary School No. 7 of Chisinau. This event is organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Law of the State University of Moldova. Its aim is to raise public awareness and decision-makers' awareness regarding the artistic potential of children with disabilities.

The exhibition contains paintings that reflect the sensitivity and artistic vision of the pupils. Through art, the children express their emotions, personal stories, and unique ways of perceiving the world.

MPs, employees and guests of the legislative institution can support these children by purchasing the displayed works. Their gesture will contribute to supporting the artistic education of pupils and social projects dedicated to institutions for children with disabilities.

On December 2-12, the parliament also hosts the exhibition titled, My School is Inclusive, part of the national campaign, Learning Together, conducted by the Ministry of Education and Research, along with UNICEF Moldova. In the context, 16 works created by students from across the country have been displayed, who participated in a republican competition of drawings and educational leaflets dedicated to promoting inclusive education. The works convey messages about diversity, respect, empathy and the right of each child to be accepted and included in the community and school.

By organizing these exhibitions, the parliament reaffirms its commitment to promoting social inclusion, respecting the rights of persons with disabilities and valuing the potential of every child, in the spirit of principles promoted at the international level.
