Anti-corruption officers raided municipal housing department

Officers of the National Anti-Corruption Center (CNA) and prosecutors are conducting criminal investigation actions this morning as part of several cases involving alleged acts of corruption in public procurement. CNA spokesperson Angela Starinschi confirmed the information.

According to CNA, the searches are being conducted on individuals within the General Directorate for Housing, Utilities of Chișinău Municipal Council, as well as on several businesses allegedly involved in fraudulent schemes.

“CNA and prosecutors are conducting criminal investigation actions in several cases involving acts of corruption in public procurement. The searches are being conducted on individuals within the General Directorate for Housing, Utilities of Chișinău Municipal Council, as well as economic agents. We will provide more details later,” stated Starinschi.
