Trust-building projects between two banks of Dniester to continue

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian today had a working meeting with Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Moldova Daniela Gasparikova. The officials agreed on the need of strengthening joint efforts to ensure the continuity of the present programmes for the cohesion of the two banks of the Dniester.

During the dialogue, the main projects conducted and implemented by the UNDP country team were reviewed, with a priority focus on promoting social cohesion, sustainable development and building trust between the two banks of the Dniester. Potential support measures for enhancing the energy resilience of Moldova were also discussed.

Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian appreciated the constant support provided by UNDP for implementing beneficial projects for the population on both banks of the Dniester. He emphasized the importance of continuing these efforts, through effective and coordinated collaboration, focused on backing the country's reintegration policies.

"The officials agreed on the necessity of consolidating joint efforts, in order to ensure the continuity of existing programs and to launch new initiatives that address current challenges and contribute to building a climate of trust and long-term cooperation," the Bureau of Reintegration Policies added.
