Republic of Moldova wins 18 medals at World Kettlebell Championship

Athletes from the Republic of Moldova won 18 medals at World Kettlebell Championship, which took place in Milan, Italy.

In the senior category, the best result was achieved by Mihail Muntean, who won the gold medal in the classic long cycle event and the 30-minute long cycle.

In the same age group, Nicolai Frangu won a silver medal in the biathlon event and finished fourth in the classic long cycle competition.

Ștefan Roșca, Mihail Țurcan, Andrei Valentir, and Sergiu Borș became champions in the para kettlebell category, while Igor Bouroș, Valeriu Buruian, and Oleg Raileanu earned the titles of vice-champions in this section.

Our athletes also won three medals in the masters age category. Mihail Suprovici became a champion in the biathlon and the 30-minute jerk events, while Nicolae Bîrliba placed second in the 30-minute snatch event.

Another three medals were won in the junior age category competition. Iurie Donighevici ranked first in the 30-minute snatch event and second place in the 30-minute jerk event, while Denis Cojocaru won a bronze medal in the 30-minute jerk event.

Over 700 athletes from 33 countries participated in the World Kettlebell  Championship.
