
Moldovan sportsman wins bronze medal at Canoe Sprint World Championships
Canoeist Serghei Tarnovschi has achieved another remarkable performance at the Senior Canoe Sprint World Championships, which takes place this year in Milan, Italy. The Moldovan sportsman won the bronze medal at the individual canoe event over a distance of 500 meters.
Tarnovschi completed the race in 1:47.38, being surpassed only by Russian Zakhar Petrov (1:46.27) and Czech Martin Fuksa (1:46.71).
At the same time, on the same distance, the women's team made up of Daniela Cociu and Maria Olarasu finished the race on the sixth position with a time of 1:56.28.
This performance once again confirms the value of Moldovan sportspeople in international canoe sprint competitions.
