Moldovan Elena Glizan wins silver at Canoe Marathon World Championships
Moldovan canoeist Elena Glizan won the silver medal at Canoe Marathon World Championships held in the city of Gyor, Hungary.
The athlete stood on the second step of the podium in the individual canoe single event in the under-23 age category, finishing the 10.7 km race with a time of 57:57.49, +23.71 seconds behind the winner Matkovics Lili Sara, who finished in 57:33.78.
Previously, canoeist Serghei Tarnovschi also won a silver medal, but in the senior category, in the individual canoe event over a distance of 3.6 km.
