
Gold for Moldova at 2025 World Games in China
Moldovan dancers Anastasia Glazunova and Alexei Gluhov won the gold medal in the sports dance competitions at 2025 World Games, held in the city of Chengdu, China.
The couple from Romania took second place, while the third place went to athletes from Poland.
The Republic of Moldova is represented at this edition of the World Games by four athletes: Stanislav Reniță (kickboxing), Artem Livedari (muay-thai), and the sports dance couple Anastasia Glazunova – Alexei Gluhov.
In total, over 4,000 athletes from 115 countries are participating in the competition, on 7-17 August. They are competing in 34 sports disciplines, including sambo, rowing, karate, kickboxing, climbing, sports dance and wushu.
“This is a notable achievement for Moldovan sports, bringing the country a new international distinction at one of the most important global competitions,” the Ministry of Education and Research said.
