
Olympic vice-champion of Moldova gives birth to baby girl
Moldovan wrestler Anastasia Nichita, Olympic vice-champion at Paris 2024 and one of the most decorated sportswomen of Moldova, has emotionally announced that she became a mother.
The athlete shared the news on her Facebook page, writing:
“Your first cry made us the happiest!”
The athlete's message quickly gathered hundreds of comments and congratulations from fans, friends and colleagues, who wished the baby health and endless joys to the parents.
Anastasia Nichita and her husband, Valeriu Mircea, a wrestler and coach, got married in Chisinau on May 3, 2025, after a relationship that had begun in 2020. The proposal took place on Anastasia's birthday, in a particularly emotional moment.
