PM's emotional message at end of school year
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu today conveyed an emotional message on the end of the school year, addressed to students, teachers, and parents in the Republic of Moldova, emphasizing the importance of the moments in every student’s life. He urged young people to have confidence in the future and to carry the Republic of Moldova in their hearts wherever they go.
“Life has a curious way of making us understand how precious some moments are only after they pass. And the last bell is one of those moments you never forget,” the prime minister wrote on his page.
The official highlighted that the end of the school year marks not only the close of one stage, but also the beginning of a new period, full of emotions, expectations, and challenges for young people.
“I wish all students a wonderful vacation, and to the graduates, good luck with your exams and confidence in your own abilities. Results are important, but just as important are the courage to move forward, the strength to learn from mistakes, and the desire to become better every day,” the prime minister added.
In his message, Alexandru Munteanu also referred to his own life experience.
“Forty-five years ago, after my last bell, I left for Moscow for entrance exams. It was a different world and a different time, but the emotions, hopes, and questions were the same as today,” the prime minister recounted.
In conclusion, the head of the Executive urged young people to remain curious and persistent, regardless of the path they choose.
“Life will surprise you many times. Sometimes it will be hard, other times extraordinarily beautiful. What matters is that you remain good people, work diligently, take care of your loved ones, and never lose your curiosity to learn and to discover the world,” the prime minister added.
He thanked teachers and parents for the support they provide to students, wishing young people to find their own path in life and “wherever they go, to carry the Republic of Moldova in their hearts.”
Today, general education institutions across the Republic of Moldova held ceremonies dedicated to the last school bell, which marks the end of the 2025–2026 academic year. Ninth- and twelfth-grade students now face their graduation exams, while children from the other grades have started their summer vacation.
The 2026 baccalaureate session will take place between June 2 and 19, while the middle school graduation exams will be organized from June 4 to 15.
