20 houses to be built with support from Germany, Norway, Denmark
20 houses certified as 'passive houses' will be built over the next three years with the support of Germany, Norway and the Kingdom of Denmark. Currently, there is only one public building of this type in the Republic of Moldova – DoReMicii kindergarten in Călărași.
The institution uses 90% less energy for heating compared to traditional houses. Speaker Igor Grosu visited this early education institution today. The official emphasized that investments in green energy have been and remain a priority for the authorities.
'We want such buildings to be as many as possible in the Republic of Moldova. Since the beginning of our governance, investments in green energy have been and remain a priority. In the next 3 years, with the help of our friends from Germany, Norway, and Denmark, 20 houses will be built and renovated following this kindergarten model. We can also build high energy performance buildings in Moldova, buildings that consume little, save on bills, and protect the environment. Through such projects, we take care of our energy safety and independence. Moldova really can!', said Igor Grosu.
DoReMicii kindergarten was certified as a 'passive house' in 2017. Thanks to an investment of about one million euros from Germany, more than 500 children have been educated over the years in favorable and ecological conditions.
