
Deputy Prime Minister had farewell meeting with Chinese Ambassador
Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi had a meeting today with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Chișinău Yan Wenbin, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in our country.
Mihai Popșoi thanked Yan Wenbin for his efforts and contribution to strengthening bilateral relations.
During the discussions, they appreciated the stable partnership over the past 30 years, based on principles of equality and mutual benefit, both politically and economically, as well as in the fields of education, health, and technical assistance.
“Thank you for always having a good collaboration. China wishes to strengthen the friendship and cooperation with the Republic of Moldova. We will be glad for Moldova to maintain peace and prosperity for its citizens during its integration into the European Union,” mentioned the Chinese ambassador.
Popșoi welcomed the positive dynamics of economic cooperation between the two countries and the opening of the Chinese market to Moldovan products.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the People's Republic of China were established on 30 January 1992. The bilateral legal framework includes over 60 agreements signed in areas such as commercial-economic cooperation, mutual investment protection, avoidance of double taxation on income and capital, air services, consular domain, youth, education, tourism, health and culture.
