Ministry of Defense denies public claim
The Ministry of Defense denies the information circulating in the public domain claiming that 'Moldovan soldiers will be sent to fight in Ukraine.' The institution warns that this is fake news.
Online sources claim that a 'decision in this regard was allegedly made during a visit by Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi to Kiev, on May 21 this year.'
The press service of the Ministry of Defense announced that the news is false, and Anatolie Nosatîi did not visit Ukraine on that day.
'Anatolie Nosatîi attended a cabinet meeting, after which he visited the training center. These activities were transparently published on the social media accounts of the Government and the Ministry of Defense,' noted the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
Additionally, the institution clarified that 'there is no agreement between the two countries regarding sending troops to the front in Ukraine.'
