Speaker: It is possible in Moldova too! In Bălți, we have bridge built from scratch in record time - 6 months
Speaker Igor Grosu participated today in an event marking the reopening of traffic on the overpass over the railway, positioned on the national public road R6 Chișinău – Orhei – Bălți, km 132,080. 'It is possible in Moldova too! In Bălți, we have a bridge built from scratch in record time - 6 months,' he said.
'Today, traffic on the bridge is already open. I thank the workers and builders, who have demonstrated that in our country we can work quickly and qualitatively. The bridge over the railway, on Chișinău-Orhei-Bălți route, is a long-awaited bridge, built according to the latest European standards. The lifespan of such a bridge is about 100 years. Besides being an important bypass artery for the city, the bridge has now opened a direct route to Bălți Free Economic Zone. Until now, entrepreneurs and workers in the area had to make a detour, which meant wasted time and money,' estimated Igor Grosu.
He assured that the state will continue to build roads and bridges.
'This year, we are investing 3.2 billion lei in roads and bridges - the largest amount ever allocated for this purpose. Thus, we are taking care of our country's infrastructure - an investment that will bring us economic benefits for many years to come,' explained Grosu.
On the overpass over the railway, positioned on the national public road R6 Chișinău – Orhei – Bălți, km 132,080, traffic was reopened today after the completion of major repair works. The overpass is 76.21 meters long and has a total width of 12.30 meters. It includes four spans and two pedestrian sidewalks, each one meter wide.
