About 235 million lei were spent in April for implementing projects aimed at the rehabilitation, maintenance, and modernization of the national road infrastructure, thus contributing to improving road safety and traffic participant comfort, according to the State Road Administration (ASD).

Currently, there are also 14 active construction sites for road reconstruction and repair, according to Annex 2 of the Road Fund Program for 2025.

In the periodic maintenance program, repair works of road surfaces are in full progress on 30 regional road sections (G), with an overall execution progress exceeding 53%. These roads cross or connect localities in various regions of the country, contributing to improving travel conditions for residents.

Approximately 7.67 million lei have been spent on road and bridge design works, evaluations, and the procurement of land necessary for the works.

"From the construction sites in the north to the roads in the south, thousands of citizens and local communities will directly benefit from the projects carried out by the State Road Administration, through well-maintained roads, better travel conditions, and modern infrastructure, both in rural areas and on national highways. For many of them, a repaired road means faster access to important services such as health care, education, market, or workplace. ASD's goal remains the same: safety, traffic comfort, and sustainable development of the national road infrastructure," summarize the road workers.

The Government of the Republic of Moldova is investing in road infrastructure and added one billion lei to the Road Fund to connect villages, cities, and communities throughout the country.
