Heavy rains affected several national roads
Chisinau, August 10 /MOLDPRES/- The heavy rains recorded during August 9-10 affected several road sectors in different districts of the country.
According to the State Road Administration (ASD), on August 9-10, heavy rains fell in some districts, which consequently created difficulties for the movement of transport on national public roads. "The roadway, the embankment, the drainage ditches were muddy. At the same time, the strong wind knocked down several trees. Thus, following the precipitation, several road sectors were affected", indicates ASD.
Among the affected routes, the road users named the Chisinau sector: M1 Border with Romania-Leușeni-Chisinau-Dubăsari-border with Ukraine, km 94+800, the roadway was muddy and the siding, km 99+000-km 103+000 were knocked down four trees. Also, on R4 R6-Goian-Criuleni-M1, km 1+600, a tree was felled, and in the Ialoveni sector: G110 Gâsca-Zolotievca-Pervomaisc-Gangura-Răzeni-M3, km 45+500-km 48+ 700, about 3.2 km, the gravel road part was partially damaged.
"In the process of cleaning and unblocking the national public roads, five special machines were trained and ten road workers were involved. The leadership of the State Administration of Roads ordered the territorial units of Roads company to carry out works to clean roads, bridges and ditches, as well as to remove branches from the approaches and carriageways of the affected road sectors. At the same time, it was ordered the assessment of the damage caused by the rains", sums up the ASD.
