Annual conference on EU enlargement to take place in Chisinau on November 9–10
The progress made by Moldova in the European Union accession process and the reform priorities for 2027 will be discussed at the Annual Conference on EU Enlargement, scheduled for November 9–10. The event will examine the European Commission’s recommendations and the measures needed to advance the accession negotiations.
The conference, titled 2026 Enlargement Report: Advancing EU Accession Negotiations through Reforms, Transparency and Social Cohesion, will be organized by the Bureau for European Integration, in partnership with the Institute for European Policies and Reforms and other partner institutions.
The discussions will take place following the presentation of the 2026 Enlargement Report by the European Commission, scheduled for November 4. The document will provide a framework for assessing the progress made by Moldova and the European recommendations on continuing reforms.
The conference’s agenda will focus on advancing accession negotiations, the transparency of the reform process and strengthening social cohesion, in the context of Moldova’s objective of moving forward on its path toward European integration.
The event will take place at the Palace of the Republic in Chisinau and will bring together, over two days, 11 topic-related sessions, including six parallel sessions dedicated to negotiation clusters.
On the first day, the participants will consider reforms in the areas of justice and combating corruption, the modernization of local public administration, preparing the economy for the European Single Market, the green transition and security. The second day will focus on the role of the parliament, civil society and the media in advancing European integration and promoting reforms.
The participation is available upon registration, while journalists may request press accreditation on the official website of the conference.
