Patent holders to switch to another form of registration
Chisinau, 11 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Deadline for carrying out commercial activity based on the patent has been extended until 1 July. During this time, the Ministry of Economy will identify solutions that will provide job stability to those who currently hold patents and be able to switch to another form of registration.
The issue was discussed at a meeting with patent holders' representatives convened by Minister of Economy Dumitru Alaiba.
The minister proposed some actions to be implemented in the next months of transition. Among them are: the presence of the cash machine, the reduction of bureaucracy and the payment of a tax amounting to a percentage of the income of up to 1.2 million lei (about 600 thousand euros), this being the only tax that would be paid by the entrepreneur. At the same time, the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development would prepare a new product for entrepreneurs, which would allow them to access some funds for the development of the activity.
There are five thousand entrepreneurs' patent holders in Moldova. The term for carrying out commercial activity under the patent has previously been extended several times.
