Promising beginning of 2025 year for Wine of Moldova: increases of 30 per cent of exports in last January

The beginning of the 2025 year looks promising for the Wine of Moldova. Thus, in last January, the exports increased by 28 per cent in terms of volume and by 10 per cent in terms of value, against the same period of the year before, the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) has reported.

According to the quoted source, on the concerned period, Moldovan wines were exported to 33 countries. ‘’It is a happiness that our wines are appreciated at the world level,’’ MAIA stressed.

The 2025 year is symbolical for the vine-growing and wine-making sectors of Moldova, after the country was nominated to host the 46th World Congress and the 23rd General Assembly of the International Organization of Vine and Wine on 16-20 June 2025.

According to the state secretary at MAIA, Andrian Digolean, ‘’ten years ago, this was a dream, while at present, it became reality.’’

Presently, the wines of Moldova are ever more present on the world market, being exported to over 70 countries, At the same time, in the last ten-year period, they won more than 7,000  prizes and medals at international competitions and tastings.
