Several localities in Nisporeni, Fălești, Hâncești and Ungheni disconnected from electricity

Several localities in the districts of Nisporeni, Fălești, Hâncești and Ungheni were disconnected from electricity today following technical faults at Nisporeni electrical substation. To reduce the area affected by the outages, the 110kV line was connected in islanded mode.

Minister of Energy Dorin Junghietu said that specialists are intervening to fix the faults.

“As a result of technical failures at the Nisporeni electrical substation, localities in the districts of Nisporeni, Fălești, Hâncești and Ungheni were disconnected from electricity. The Moldelectrica team is working to remedy the faults. To reduce the area affected by the outages, the 110kV line was connected in islanded mode,” Junghietu emphasized.

The authorities will come back with updates and additional details.
