Moldova-EU investment conference to be held on June 4; PM says authorities plan to announce more major investments
An international investment conference, Moldova – European Union, will be held on June 4, this year. Prime Minister Alexandru made statements to this effect today Munteanu. He noted that the authorities planned to announce, in the context of the event, more “major investments.”
The PM welcomed the message delivered on April 21 in Brussels by European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Marta Kos, who confirmed that the technical progress of Moldova was at the highest level. At the same time, the prime minister stressed that it is important to accelerate and translate these achievements into economic results, growth and investments.
“I followed the statement made by Marta Kos during the meeting with members of the European Parliament, where she said that Moldova is among the leading states, in fact, it is the leading state in implementing reforms aimed at alignment with European standards, with a rate of 93 per cent. It is important to accelerate and materialize these performances through economic achievements, growth, investments. In the context, on June 4 we are organizing the international investment conference, Moldova – EU, which I will have the honor to open together with Marta Kos. We plan to announce more major investments. We are in the process of preparing the event. It is a very important event for Moldova. We will act, so as to materialize it through concrete results,” Alexandru Munteanu stated at the beginning of the today’s cabinet meeting.
European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Marta Kos on April 21 said that Moldova was registering a remarkable pace of reform, having managed to get the mandate to start technical negotiations on all 33 accession chapters, despite unprecedented pressure from Russia.
