Rural agricultural enterprises of Moldova can access European grants for business development

Small and medium-sized enterprises from rural areas of Moldova will be able to benefit from funding of worth up to 383,000 lei, in order to modernize their businesses. Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova, with financial support from the European Union, has launched a new call for grants to streamline agrifood value chains, as part of the EU4Moldova: Resilient Country - Strong Communities project.

The financial support is meant for the purchase, setting and commissioning of equipment that will ensure the transformation of raw and semi-processed materials into finished products.

"Ten companies are already benefiting from this support following the project proposals call launched in October 2024. The selected enterprises operate in such sectors as processing of fruits and vegetables, oil manufacturing, dairy products, bakery, sweets, juices, and other agrifood products," says Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova.

The grants can be used to modernize production processes, by purchasing machinery and equipment, such as refrigerators, ovens, oil presses, packaging and labeling lines and machinery for processing and storage.

"By relaunching the call, other businesses also have the chance to access these funds, in order to develop their production capacities and contribute to improving economic resilience locally. The overall budget of the grant call is approximately 3,447,000 lei. For more details about the application process, visit the official Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova page," the quoted source added.
