Wizz Air airline announced today the launch of six new flights connecting the Republic of Moldova with several European cities.
Starting this fall, passengers will be able to travel directly from Chișinău to Bari (Italy), Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (Germany), Athens (Greece), Maastricht (Netherlands), Billund (Denmark) and Milan-Bergamo (Italy). Wizz Air's Head of Communications and Government Affairs Andras Rado made the statement today.
Additionally, the company will expand its airbase in Moldova with a new Airbus A320 aircraft, thus strengthening its operations in the region.
Four of the new routes will be operated three times a week, and the flights to Milan-Bergamo and Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden will be available four times a week.
Andras Rado emphasized the company's commitment to continue investing in the region, offering passengers more travel opportunities.
"I am proud that Wizz Air is expanding so rapidly in Moldova, adding the third aircraft and dozens of new destinations in just six months. We continue to invest in our growth in Moldova, strongly believing in the value of travel as a unique experience, and we will keep working to ensure that all travelers have more opportunities to explore the world," Rado stated.
The expansion of Wizz Air's operations in Chișinău highlights the growth potential of the airport and will benefit passengers, noted Sergiu Spoială, Director of Chișinău International Airport.
The new flights will contribute to enhancing the connectivity of the Republic of Moldova with major European centers, supporting both tourism and international businesses.
