Moldovan citizens warned about fraud cases regarding visa appointments or employment in Germany
The police have warned citizens about the registration of more fraud cases, in which individuals of Moldova have been scammed after paying money to an unknown company that promised visa appointments and jobs in Germany.
According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), the documents presented by the company do not come from the German Embassy, and the person who signed these letters does not work for the institution.
"We warn citizens to stay vigilant and not rely on dubious intermediaries. Booking a visa appointment at the German Embassy is free and can be done exclusively online, in Romanian or Russian, through the official page of the diplomatic mission," said the IGP.
In the context, the law enforcement officials repeatedly urge citizens to carefully verify sources and report any fraud attempts to the nearest police unit or through official platforms.
