Driving licenses issued in Moldova to be recognized in United Kingdom
The driving licenses issued in Moldova will be recognized in the United Kingdom. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in this regard between the two states is set to be approved at a cabinet due on July 9.
According to the draft included in the agenda of the government meeting, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the United Kingdom Ruslan Bolbocean will be authorized to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Moldova and the United Kingdom regarding the mutual exchange of driving licenses.
The document aims to facilitate the movement of Moldovan and British citizens who hold driving licenses issued by both the authorities of Moldova and the ones of the United Kingdom. Specifically, the exchange of driving licenses will be ensured under equal and mutually advantageous conditions stipulated in the Memorandum due to be concluded.
As a result, Moldovan citizens will have improved access to the job market in the United Kingdom and the Moldovan-British economic relations will be strengthened.
Moldova has concluded similar agreements with Latvia, Spain, Greece, Israel, Turkey, Albania, and Lithuania. An Agreement with France has been initialed and is set to come into force, and there is a common Declaration of Intention on the matter between Moldova and Germany.
The agenda of the July 9 government meeting includes 35 drafts. The meeting will start at 10:00
