European Commissioner in Chișinău: New government prioritizes economic growth, essential for all citizens to feel benefits of European integration
European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, visiting Chișinău, appreciated that the new Government in Chișinău prioritizes economic growth, emphasizing that it is essential for all citizens of the Republic of Moldova to feel the benefits of European integration.
The message was delivered during a meeting that Marta Kos had this morning with Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov, as well as other members of the new Government.
According to the European Union Delegation to Chișinău, discussions also focused on the necessary reforms for accession, strengthening the rule of law, developing infrastructure, and the continued support offered by the European Union in advancing these objectives.
The Commissioner congratulated the Republic of Moldova for the significant progress reflected in the 2025 Enlargement Report for the Republic of Moldova, which confirms the increased level of preparedness for 21 chapters of the acquis and consistent developments in all key areas.
Marta Kos is paying a visit today to the Republic of Moldova.
