Moldovan economy minister says collaboration with top European bank major opportunity to strengthen economy, create new development prospects
The close collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), especially in the implementation of Moldova's Growth Plan supported by the European Union, represents a major opportunity to strengthen the national economy and provide Moldovan citizens with real development prospects. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugen Osmochescu has made statements to this effect at a discussion with Giuseppe Grimaldi, head of the EBRD office in Moldova.
“We also agreed on the need to accelerate economic development through innovation, digitalization, and value-added creation – essential priorities for enhancing our country's competitiveness. (...) Through strategic investments and sustainable partnerships, we will continue to build a more modern, prosperous and competitive Moldova,” said Eugen Osmochescu after discussions with Giuseppe Grimaldi.
According to the official, the EBRD is a strategic partner of Moldova and an important pillar of the country's economic progress.
