Autumn session 2025 of Moldova's parliament ends on December 31

The ordinary autumn session 2025 of the parliament ends on December 31. During the last plenary meeting of the parliament, the MPs voted on a draft resolution that sets the date of the session's conclusion.

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu thanked his fellow deputies and the employees of the legislative institution's secretariat for their work. “In 2025, we stood strong and protected our country, as we worked together and proved to ourselves, first and foremost, that we are strong, that we have determination, and that Moldova deserves to be part of the great European family. If 2025 was a year of resilience, I want for 2026 to be a year of consolidation and development. Moldova is no longer at the stage of 'what it wants to be,' but at the stage of 'having the courage to become.' The road is not easy, but the direction is clear. Happy New Year to everyone!”, said the parliament speaker.

At the last plenary session of the 2025 ordinary autumn session, the lawmakers were greeted and caroled by two artistic ensembles. It is about the 'Vitejii' Children's Choir of the 'Mihai Viteazul' Lyceum of Chisinau, conducted by Father Hiero-deacon Gurie (Anton) Dumbrava, a dedicated mentor of young talents. Over 60 students, with ages ranging from 9 to 11, have been awarded at various national and international competitions.

Another exceptional moment was offered by the 'Doina Codrului' choir from the village of Lozova, Straseni district, conductor – interpreter Ruslan Bardier, a singing teacher. Founded in 1908, with an impressive 117-year history, the choir is one of the most representative amateur artistic ensembles of Moldova. Over time, the choir's activities have been recognized with numerous distinctions and awards at national and international competitions, including the titles of 'Popular Choir' and 'Model Choir.' The choir includes representatives of true dynasties of choir singers originating from Lozova.

According to the parliament's regulations, the legislature convenes in two ordinary sessions each year. The spring session begins in February and cannot exceed the end of July. The autumn session begins in September and cannot exceed the end of December.
