The State Chancellery and the Public Association, Partnerships for the New Economy, (PNE) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to support the implementation of the Reform and Growth Mechanism for Moldova.

The partnership aims to prepare and manage investment projects more efficiently in key areas for the country’s development: infrastructure and transport, energy, green and digital transition, agriculture and the food industry, rural development, education and employment, with a focus on young people and raising the standard of living.

The Memorandum was signed by Secretary General of the Government Alexei Buzu and Director of the Public Association, Partnerships for the New Economy, Natalia Gavrilita.

Under this cooperation, PNE will provide technical expertise to improve the way investment projects are prepared, monitored and reported, including in the process of reporting to the European Union. At the same time, the skills of civil servants involved in the implementation of these projects will be developed.

The State Chancellery will integrate this expertise into the strengthening of the institutional mechanisms needed to implement the commitments undertaken by  Moldova.

The Memorandum confirms the joint commitment to cooperation between public authorities and civil society for the implementation of reforms and the capitalization of the opportunities provided by the country’s European path.
