Chisinau, 31 December /MOLDPRES/ -
The last moments of the 2020 are passing. Traditionally, the turn of year is a moment of reflection – we analyze how this year has been for us, we convey thoughts of gratitude for the dear people, we are happy with our family and, the most important thing, we hope that it will be better in the upcoming year.
The 2020 year has been tough for many of us, quite tough. A year which put our powers to test, doubted our beliefs, gave us lessons of patience and moderation. A year marked by hardships, when it was difficult for us to preserve the optimism and confidence in a better future. Yet, the Moldovans, in very complicated conditions, managed to prove an unconceivable solidarity and power. I am proud to be part of this nation. I am sure that 2021 will be a better year, as we will move together, united, confident in our powers to make the life better for everybody.
This year, we have everybody learned how precious the health, communication with the dear people, freedom of movement are – and how painful can be the loss of these things. We passed through moments full of sorrow – the loss of close people, jobs lost, businesses closed, uncertainty and fear. At the same time, 2020 offered us important life lessons. We have learned how precious the empathy, unity, care for close people are. The embraces with dear people. We have felt so many times gratitude and pride for the true heroes of our times – people ready to sacrifice themselves for the good of the others: the employees of the medical system, who have fought day and night to save human lives. The first-line fighters: people who continued their work, with risks and difficulties, so that the society can work in continuation. Ordinary people, who gave their own time and resources to provide support to those in need.
The 2020 year pointed out the KINDNESS inside us – and despite the material shortages, despite the poor support on behalf of the state, the people from Moldova proved much kindness. Thank you! With this kindness, with confidence in us and in our country, I enter the 2021 year with much hope.
Dear friends,
The winder holidays are different this year. Many people will not have by their side the beloved. Many families experience the grief of the loss of close people. We are thinking about these families – they need our empathy and care. Our responsibility is needed in continuation. We should wear masks, avoid crowded places, reduce the number of travels. We should protect and value the health.
My dear, Dragii mei,
The mankind will defeat this virus. Moldova will get out of these difficulties with its head up. Moldovans, I trust our talent and forces. The solidarity which we experienced in 2020 is a reason for pride. Moldova can be proud of its people. People who take care of each other, people who manage to do nice things in the most unfriendly conditions. People who value the democracy, as they want to decide their fate by themselves. People who work a lot, honestly in their country. People who work, create, provide jobs abroad and want to grow and flourish at home. Open-minded people, free from prejudices, people along with whom I enter the 2021 year with pride. I want you to see like this, dear Moldovans. Courageous, involved in united. And certainly – healthy.
From now on, we move forward together. I am proud of you, dear Moldovans, thank you for confidence. I will work every day for you. So that our country, the Republic of Moldova, is a place where one is willing to live.
My dear, Dragii mei,
We enter 2021 with lessons learned. We enter it proud, with heads up, full of hope, plans and will. We will manage to do many things together next year. Many of you will see your relatives, many will put the foundation of their own home, many will develop the business; many will get advancement in career and the job wished. Many young people will decide what profession to choose and will be admitted to the faculty wished. Many grandparents will hold in arms their grandsons; many children will make their first steps and will learn the first words.
We work, learn, forgive and love for the moments of accomplishment and happiness.
Dear friends,We will experience many joyful things in 2021. I wish you a New Year by the side of your beloved, with good health and happiness.
A Happy New Year!
