The State Chancellery is strengthening its team to advance more rapidly in the accession to the European Union and to implement the agreed reforms. In this regard, the increase of the number of staff positions by 56 units has been approved.

The decision comes in the context of growing responsibilities related to accession negotiations, the implementation of the Growth Plan and the Reform Agenda. Recently, the Republic of Moldova received a new financial instalment of 189 million euros to implement 24 reforms, and the progress achieved has been appreciated at the European level, with our country being cited as a model of high performance.

"We have an extremely large amount of work and for that we need people. Some are asking why new, additional positions are needed. Precisely for this reason – to continue to be a model of performance and to deliver results. There are things, reforms, processes that Moldova has not had in its ‘job description’ for 30 years – now, as we want to become a European state, we need people who will help us build it," said Secretary General of the Government Alexei Buzu.

The new positions will be concentrated in key areas such as European integration, reform monitoring and management of European funds. At the same time, dedicated structures will be created to track the implementation of reforms and report progress to the European Commission.

This measure will enable better coordination between institutions and more efficient implementation of projects, so that the results are felt more quickly in the daily lives of citizens.
