The secretary general of the government today took part in the 5th edition of the European Business Association’s event – EBA Business Outlook 2026. The head of the State Chancellery spoke about the implementation of Moldova’s Growth Plan – an ambitious programme with a direct impact on the economy and the business environment.

The official emphasized that the Growth Plan was structured along three complementary directions: reforms, financing and strategic investments. The reform agenda includes 153 measures for three years, aimed at integration into the single market, the digitalization of economic processes and increased competitiveness. Most of the goals for 2025 have been achieved and the pace of implementation is being accelerated for 2026.

At the same time, the plan opens access to major investments that can structurally transform the economy. The authorities are working on an extensive portfolio of projects in such strategic areas as energy, health, education and agriculture, backed by a substantial financial envelope. In parallel, the government will ensure transparency in implementation by publishing data on projects, progress and the use of funds, in order to offer the business community predictability and clarity.

“At the same time, the absorption capacity stays our number one priority. Here, we can join forces to work better and deliver to citizens a competitive economy that matches the ambitions of our entrepreneurs,” said the secretary general of the government.

EBA Business Outlook 2026 – 5th edition is the flagship event of the European Business Association, serving as a platform for dialogue between high-level officials of Moldova and the European Union, experts and business leaders. The event provides a framework for analyzing macroeconomic trends and identifying opportunities for economic growth.

This year’s edition addresses strategic topics, such as the budgetary outlook of the EU’s new multiannual financial framework, the implementation of Moldova’s Growth Plan, the development of the capital market and opportunities in the energy sector. The panels dedicated to these subjects facilitate direct dialogue between decision-makers and the business community, contributing to the shaping of future economic policies.
