Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with special representative of OSCE chairperson-in-office for Transnistrian settlement process

Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri today had a working meeting with Thomas Lenk, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the Transnistrian settlement process.

The discussions focused on recent developments in the negotiation process regarding the Transnistrian settlement, addressing the main issues on the dialogue agenda between Chisinau and Tiraspol, as well as the priority actions undertaken by national authorities to promote sectoral policies for the reintegration of the country.

The deputy PM emphasized the need to maintain a results-oriented dialogue that brings concrete benefits to citizens on both banks of the Dniester, as well as the importance of removing unfounded obstacles that affect fundamental human rights and freedoms.

The officials reconfirmed their willingness to maintain constant interaction, in order to advance towards constructive processes, while appreciating the role of the OSCE in facilitating dialogue and supporting efforts to bring the two banks of the Dniester closer together.
