Prime Minister visited several local businesses in Călărași district
Prime Minister Dorin Recean visited Carneville farm in Căbăiești, Călărași - the only farm in the country specialized in raising turkeys and selling their meat.
Currently, the farm has three halls equipped with automated feeding and watering systems, as well as automated heating and cooling systems. Additionally, the entrepreneurs rent a slaughterhouse in the village of Peresecina, where the packaging of the products take place. Subsequently, they are sold in retail networks in Chișinău and delivered to other companies that process meat.
The entrepreneurs, who launched Carneville business in 2020, received assistance from the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) in the form of interest-bearing loans, and support from the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture for repairing the farm.
Recean also visited Palplast factory - a producer of polyethylene pipes. The business, founded in 2005, recently became part of the largest polymer processor in Eastern Europe. The company has 30 employees who benefit from meal vouchers and a competitive salary. The company received state aid – electricity compensation, and the business expansion and export of production abroad, to Romania and Ukraine, is planned in the future.
