Moldovan president meets Lithuanian Prime Minister
President Maia Sandu today held a meeting with Prime Minister of Lithuania Gintautas Paluckas, on an official visit to Chisinau.
The meeting confirmed Lithuania's consistent support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova, including through assistance in aligning with European standards. Lithuania, with two decades of experience as a European Union member state, is a reliable partner and an example of democratic and economic transformation.
The two officials discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas such as energy and security, in the context of regional challenges caused by the war in Ukraine and hybrid risks affecting the stability of the Republic of Moldova. The potential for expanding trade exchanges and intensifying economic relations was also addressed during the meeting.
The meeting highlighted the commitment of both parties to work together for peace, security and European integration.
