URBACT Programme: new support opportunities for cities, municipalities of Moldova
The State Chancellery, in its capacity as the URBACT National Point in Moldova, today organized an online information session dedicated to the URBACT Accelerator for Ukraine and Moldova call. The event brought together representatives of local public authorities interested in this new opportunity provided by the URBACT Programme, meant exclusively for cities and municipalities of Moldova and Ukraine.
Participants in the session presented the programme’s objectives, funding directions, eligibility conditions, application process and call timeline. They learned details about the programme’s three components:
Urban Knowledge Track, which offers learning activities and exchange of experience;
Urban Action Lab Track, through which 10 cities of Moldova and Ukraine will benefit from up to 40,000 euros for the implementation of small-scale urban pilot actions;
EU Mentor City Track, through which cities from the European Union member states will provide mentoring and practical support to participating cities.
The session highlighted the benefits of participating in the programme, including strengthening administrative capacity, access to the URBACT methodology, exchange of experience with European cities and preparation of local authorities for future European funding opportunities.
The call is open as of June 3 till July 16, 2026, and applications are submitted online via the EUSurvey platform. Local public authorities are encouraged to assess this opportunity and prepare the necessary documents in advance for submitting their applications. More information about the call and the application documents is available on the official URBACT Accelerator for Ukraine and Moldova call page.
