Education employees who are transferred or re-employed in the context of the reorganization of educational institutions will be able to benefit from transportation to their new workplace. The extension of the school transport mechanism, previously applied to students, has been approved by the Government.

The measure targets management staff, teaching staff and auxiliary teaching staff from reorganized primary, secondary institutions. The aim is to support the mobility of education personnel and to retain qualified staff within the system.

According to the draft, students with disabilities will also benefit from transportation regardless of the distance to the educational institution, based on their individual needs.

“This year, from the state budget, 57 buses are going to our schools, so that we can additionally ensure the transportation of more than 1,000 students starting in September,” Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun said.
