Moldovan president meets Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia

President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fajon, on an official visit to Chisinau. During the discussions, President Sandu expressed appreciation for Slovenia's steadfast support for Moldova's European path and its contribution to the implementation of development projects in the country.

Maia Sandu highlighted Slovenia's important role as a European partner and emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral relations and political dialogue between the two states, in the context of advancing Moldova's EU accession process.

At the same time, the head of state reaffirmed the Moldovan authorities’ commitment to continue reforms and modernization of the country, in accordance with European standards, as well as to protect democratic processes against any external interference.
