Ana Revenco - new director of Center for Strategic Communication and Combating Disinformation
Chisinau, Oct. 19 /MOLDPRES/- Former head of the Internal Affairs Ana Revenco was appointed today by parliament as director of the Center for Strategic Communication and Combating Disinformation.
Ana Revenco's candidacy was proposed by President Maia Sandu in line with the Law on the Center for Strategic Communication and Combating Disinformation.
In 2021-2023, Ana Revenco served as Minister of Internal Affairs. Previously, she was a presidential advisor in the national defense and security, as well as secretary of the Supreme Security Council.
Parliament passed the Law on the Center for Strategic Communication and Combating Disinformation this July. The Center aims to strengthen cooperation between institutions in the fight against misinformation, manipulation of information and foreign interference, which pose a danger or may harm national security and endanger the achievement of national interests.
