Alegeri parlamentare 2025
As many as 301 polling stations opened abroad for citizens to vote at parliamentary elections due in Moldova
Over 300 polling stations will be opened abroad for the parliamentary elections due on September 28, 2025. Most polling stations will be organized in Italy - 75, Germany - 36, France - 26, the United Kingdom – 24, Romania 23.
Four polling stations out of the total number will be opened for citizens of Moldova who are on territory of the United States of America, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, who can vote by correspondence.
Citizens abroad can access the address: https://diaspora.cec.md/ro/locations, in order to verify the address of the polling stations in the host country.
The ground for establishing polling stations abroad was the voting dynamics at the last three elections. Also, decision-makers took into account data on preliminary registration and information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the number and location of Moldovan citizens abroad.
At the runoff election of the last autumn polls, about 330,000 voters participated from 231 polling stations opened outside Moldova. This number is by 117,000 voters higher than the one recorded at the 2021 parliamentary elections and by 179,000 voters more compared to the 2020 presidential election.
