Prime Minister held meeting with Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Prime Minister Vasile Tofan met with Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova Fern Horine. The officials discussed strengthening the bilateral partnership, increasing British investments in our country, and promoting projects with tangible benefits for citizens.
The Prime Minister thanked the United Kingdom for its support in strengthening the resilience of the Republic of Moldova, cybersecurity, and institutional capacities. The head of the Executive also emphasized that the United Kingdom’s support for Ukraine is essential, and that the security of the Republic of Moldova is directly linked to Ukraine’s ability to withstand Russian aggression.
An important topic of the dialogue was economic cooperation. The interlocutors discussed attracting British investments, creating jobs, and increasing exports to the UK market.
The positive impact of the agreement on the conversion of driving licenses for Moldovan citizens residing in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was also highlighted.
The two officials agreed to maintain an active dialogue and to advance joint projects in areas of strategic interest.
