When Chisinau, Kyiv and Bucharest act together, we can build more than infrastructure or joint projects – we can provide safety to our people, hope for a peaceful future and a clear path towards a united, free and democratic Europe. President Maia Sandu has made statements to this effect. She today participated in a trilateral meeting of the presidents of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine, held on the sidelines of the Ukraine – Southeast Europe Summit, organized in Odessa.
Maia Sandu said that the countries of the region had met in Odesa to show their firm support for Ukraine, which is fighting not only for its freedom, but also for our common peace.
"In Odessa, on the sidelines of the Ukraine – Southeast Europe Summit, I had a trilateral meeting with the Presidents of Ukraine and Romania. The Moldovan president also said that she had discussed with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky and the President of Romania Nicusor Dan how the three states can build resilience against external threats, about how energy interconnections, strategic investments and economic ties make us stronger and more united.
