Moldovan MPs to convene at plenary meeting on 12 June

The parliament’s standing bureau has approved the agenda for the plenary meetings, due to be held on June 12–20, 2025. The agenda includes initiatives for aligning national legislation with the European acquis.

Among them, there are drafts concerning investment protection, safety standards for passenger ships, the liberalization and development of the energy sector, as well as measures to combat fraud affecting the financial interests of the European Union.

At the same time, the parliament is set to ratify several international agreements, including the Agreement on Moldova's participation in the Digital Europe Program, which will facilitate access to European funds for digitalization. MPs will also examine the Amendment No. 1 to the grant agreement for the Solid Waste in Moldova project, as well as two agreements aimed at modernizing higher education.

In the first reading, the drafts include initiatives for modernizing the Free International Airport Marculesti, supporting young people in integrating into the labor market, facilitating business activities and providing state guarantees for a loan to the Energocom stock company on behalf of EBRD.

The lawmakers will also examine drafts on the national security, crisis management, combating disinformation and legislative changes in the fields of cadastre and property evaluation.

In the second reading, drafts concerning the efficiency of public administration, protection of intangible cultural heritage, tourism, the energy sector and judicial expertise—including the evaluation of the performance of judges and prosecutors—will be put to vote.

Also, the parliament is to appoint Gheorghe Budeanu as member of the Supervisory and Development Board of the Teleradio-Moldova Company.
