Moldovan government holds first meeting of 2026 on January 14
The government led by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu will convene at its first meeting of this year on January 14. The agenda includes 19 items concerning the approval of new investments in localities, international agreements and new regulations in various activity fields. The meeting will begin at 10:00.
Thus, the government is to decide on supplementing the Single Programming Document for 2025–2027 with 293 new local development projects, which will enable investments of over 200 million lei in localities across the country.
At the same time, the cabinet will examine the Agreement with France on the International Corporate Volunteering Programme and the grant agreement between the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) for the implementation of the project, Strong Enterprises and Communities for Moldova.
Also, members of the cabinet of ministers will decide on the initiation of negotiations and the approval of the signing of the Agreement between the governments of Moldova and the Sultanate of Oman on the mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, service and special passports.
Another item on the agenda concerns the approval of the draft law on the ratification of the Understanding, drawn up by an exchange of notes, between the governments of Moldova and Japan on technical cooperation for financing the project, Improving the Television Programme Production Equipment at the Public Institution Teleradio-Moldova Company.
Additionally, the government will examine the revision of the regulatory framework related to civil status services, the sanitary regulations on hygiene conditions for medical service providers and will update the sanitary rules on tobacco products, related products and the devices and accessories used for their consumption.
