
Moldovan MPs adopt 260 acts in 160 hours at 2025 spring session
The spring 2025 session of the parliament ends on 31 July. Since the beginning of this year, the parliament has convened at 24 plenary meetings. Twenty three of them were organized during the spring 2025 session, and one plenary meeting was held at an extraordinary session. The plenary meetings had a total duration of almost 160 hours, according to a press release by the parliament.
During the plenary meetings, the lawmakers adopted 260 normative acts. This includes 226 laws and 34 decisions. It is noteworthy that out of the total number of laws adopted, 57 were framework laws and 58 were laws ratifying agreements. At the same time, 30 acts aimed at harmonizing Moldova’s legislation with the European Union’s one.
During the spring session, two declarations of the parliament were adopted, focused on the process of Moldova's accession to the European Union, as well as supporting Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. On the same period, the MPs backed 33 political declarations at plenary meetings.
Moreover, during the regular spring session, the standing commissions convened at 274 meetings, while ten meetings were held during the extraordinary session. The deputies approved 428 reports, 179 co-reports and 525 opinions. Also, the parliament's standing bureau held 22 meetings and adopted seven decisions.
