President visits Strasbourg before Moldova takes over Presidency of Council of Europe
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu is paying an official visit to Strasbourg this week. The head of state will deliver a speech in the plenary session of the European Parliament and will hold meetings with several European officials.
The President arrived in Strasbourg over the weekend, and met with the Moldovan community.
The visit agenda also includes meetings with officials of the Council of Europe, in the context of the Republic of Moldova preparing to assume, starting November 2025, the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the organization for a six-month period.
