Travel advisory for France: General strike to take place on September 10

The Embassy of Moldova in Paris informs Moldovan citizens who are in, transiting, or intending to travel to France that, on September 10, 2025, major trade unions in transport, education, health, commerce and industry will initiate a nationwide general strike.

The strike will affect key sectors, such as public transportation (La Base), rail transport (SUD-Rail, CGT Cheminots), air transport (SUD-Aérien, CGT Air France), education (SUD-Éducation), public services (CGT Fonction publique), health (SUD Santé Sociaux), commerce (CGT Commerce et Services), and industry (SUD Industrie).

Moldovan citizens are advised to consult:

destination or departure airport websites, especially Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Orly;

the SNCF Connect app for information on train circulation;

the Bonjour RATP app or the official RATP website for public transportation in the Paris region and alternative routes.
